skintoneai ("Service") processes the following information to provide its services: · Facial photo images (uploaded by you or captured via the in-browser camera) · Camera access permission (only when using the camera capture feature) · Analysis results and thumbnail images (stored only in your browser's local storage on your device) No account registration is required. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other general personal data.
2. How We Use Your Information
Uploaded facial photos are used solely for: · AI-powered skin tone, undertone, and personal color analysis · Generating customized makeup palette and skincare recommendations Your data is never used for marketing, advertising, or sold to third parties.
3. Data Retention
Uploaded facial photos are permanently and immediately deleted from our servers upon completion of analysis. No photos are ever retained on our servers. Analysis results and thumbnail images, when using the "Recent Analyses" history feature, are stored exclusively in your device's browser (localStorage). This data is never transmitted to our servers and can be deleted by you at any time.
4. Third-Party Services & International Transfers
To perform AI analysis, we transmit image data to OpenAI, Inc. (United States) via Cloudflare AI Gateway. This constitutes an international data transfer. · Recipient: OpenAI, Inc. · Country: United States · Purpose: AI image analysis and text generation · Data transferred: Facial photo image · Retention: Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy (openai.com/privacy) · Intermediary: Cloudflare, Inc. · Role: API gateway (image data is not cached) · Retention: Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)
5. Camera Access
When using the camera capture feature, we request camera access permission through your browser. This permission is used solely for the purpose of taking a photo for analysis. The captured image is permanently deleted after analysis is complete. You may deny camera permission and still use the Service via file upload.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to: · Request information about how your data is processed · Request restriction of processing · Request deletion of your data Because photos are permanently deleted from our servers immediately upon analysis completion, no further server-side deletion request is necessary after use. Analysis history stored on your device can be deleted directly via the "Clear All" button in the history section.
7. Children Under 14
This Service is not intended for children under the age of 14. Children under 14 may not use this Service without the consent of a legal guardian, and may not upload facial photos under any circumstances.
